Catching public transport
Public transport is a great way to safely get to and from school.
Catching a bus
A School Opal Card gives eligible students free or subsidised public transport between home and school. Free travel is available to all K - 2 students and Years 3 - 6 children living outside the 1.6km boundary. Term travel passes are available for purchase from Bathurst Buslines for children who are not eligible for free travel or they can purchase a Child/Youth Opal Card. Parents must apply online with Transport for NSW. A great number of our children use buses to and from school. School Opal Cards must be carried at all times and, if lost or damaged, should be reported and a replacement requested. A fee may apply.
Bus Routes:
Six country buses serve Eglinton School. They are the Turondale, Bridle Track, Sofala, Billywillinga,

the school at the same time - at approximately 8:35am and 3:55pm.
Abercrombie and Riverview Estates are serviced by Bathurst Buslines.
